Garden Landscaping Across Bristol

Stone Landscapes designs and builds garden landscaping across Bristol from our base in Keynsham. That covers patios in porcelain, natural stone or concrete, decking, pergolas, real and artificial turf, raised planter beds, decorative stone, children’s play areas and full garden makeovers.

Some projects are a single job, such as a new patio or a lawn replaced with artificial grass. Others bring several elements together to change how the whole garden is used. Either way, we start with how you want to use the space and what the site allows, then agree the materials and layout with you before any work begins.

Making The Most Of A Bristol Garden

Many Bristol gardens are compact – particularly behind terraced houses – so every square metre matters. A porcelain or natural stone patio with raised beds around the edge can give a small garden a usable seating area and planting without it feeling crowded.

Sloping gardens are common across the city, and levelling part of the plot for a patio or lawn usually makes the biggest difference to how much the garden gets used. Where the ground holds water, drainage needs thinking about under patios and turf rather than as an afterthought.

Shady or heavily used lawns are where the real-versus-artificial grass decision comes up most. Real turf suits sunnier gardens where you enjoy looking after a lawn; artificial grass stays usable in shade and through wet winters with far less upkeep.

Access is worth mentioning too: on terraced streets, materials often have to come through the house or down a shared passage. You can see examples of patios, decking, turf and pergolas in our gallery, or read more on our main landscaping page.

We recently contracted Stone Landscapes LTD to replace the fencing in the field next to our village hall, and we were extremely pleased with the results. They removed the old, broken fence and installed a new fence exactly to our specifications using 4x rails, along with a custom-built, secure solid-panel gate. The quality of workmanship, attention to detail, and precision throughout the project were excellent. Once the work was completed, the entire area was thoroughly cleared and all debris removed. In addition to the fencing work, they also levelled the field with topsoil and have since returned to maintain and cut the grass. James, the owner, was highly responsive throughout the process, replying promptly to messages and keeping us fully informed at every stage. Their pricing was also very reasonable for the quality of work delivered. We have now arranged a regular maintenance contract with Stone Landscapes LTD and have found them to be professional, reliable, and very pleasant to deal with. We would highly recommend their services to anyone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. We are based in Keynsham and work across Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

Both work well when they are laid on a proper base. Porcelain is dense, consistent in colour and easy to keep clean. Natural stone has more variation from slab to slab, which many people like for a traditional look. Concrete slabs are another option where budget matters.

Real turf suits sunnier gardens and people who enjoy looking after a lawn. Artificial grass is a good fit for shady spots, heavily used lawns and gardens where you want to cut down on maintenance.

Usually, yes. Many Bristol terraces have no side access, so materials are carried through the house or a shared passage. Let us know when you get in touch and we will factor it in when we look at the job.
